Overview

ClickClunk ("we", "us") operates a social community for mechanics, automotive technicians, and trade professionals. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account and using ClickClunk, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

• Account information: your email address and the name you provide when you register.
• Profile details: full name, avatar photo, bio, title, qualifications, experience, specialties, location, workshop address and map pin, business hours, services, and an optional resume you upload.
• Posts and media: photos and videos you upload, captions, descriptions, and repair categories you tag.
• Engagement data: likes, comments, emoji reactions, saved posts, and the accounts you follow or that follow you.
• Direct messages: the text and images you exchange with other users through in-app messaging.
• Verification documents: credentials, certifications, or licenses you submit to earn a verified badge. These are private and reviewed only by administrators.
• Usage and device data: approximate device and technical information collected automatically when you use the app.

How we use your information

• To create and maintain your account and professional profile.
• To display your posts, media, and engagement across the feed, Reels, and explore surfaces.
• To enable messaging, follows, likes, comments, and reactions between members.
• To review verification submissions and grant verified status to qualified technicians.
• To help nearby customers discover your workshop through the pinned location map.
• To send you service notifications and emails about your account or content.
• To moderate content, investigate reports, and keep the community safe.

Instagram integration

If you choose to connect your Instagram account, we use your Instagram Business access token only to cross-post media you explicitly share from ClickClunk to Instagram, on your behalf. The connection is optional and can be revoked at any time from within the app. We do not post anything to Instagram without your explicit action, and we do not access your Instagram direct messages.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from the app's settings. Some information may be retained in backup systems for a limited period or where required by law.

Sharing your information

Profile information, posts, comments, likes, and follower relationships are visible to other members as part of the social experience. Direct messages are visible only to you and your conversation participant(s). Verification documents are never shared publicly and are visible only to you and administrators. We do not sell your personal information.

Your rights

• Access, update, or correct your profile and account details.
• Control your profile's visibility and privacy from your settings.
• Delete your account and request removal of your associated data.
• Disconnect Instagram at any time to revoke cross-posting access.
